Vietnam continues to affirm its position as an important link in the global supply chain. This is the opinion of many international newspapers last week.
Especially with the current fluctuations of the world economy, the need to diversify the global supply chain is very urgent, the effectiveness in disease control and economic recovery makes Vietnam continue to be chosen as an attractive destination.
Financial Market World Newspaper – Finanzmarktwelt of Germany used the word “boom” to emphasize the resilience of Vietnam’s economy when it comes to manufacturing, foreign trade and domestic tourism. The article said that many international businesses want to move their supply chains to Vietnam.
With the title “More supply chain leaders look to South-East Asia for manufacturing alternatives”, the article on SupplyChainDive website published on May 2 affirms that Vietnam is one of the priorities for manufacturers to diversify their supply chains due to recent price and shipping time constraints.
“I think the pre-epidemic trend is shifting business activities and supply chains to Vietnam and restarting again. Vietnam is one of the leading countries in Southeast Asia in the process of reopening after COVID-19”, said Mr. Vu Tu Thanh, Deputy Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
Russia’s Sputnik newspaper in Vietnamese last week published an article with the title: “Vietnam – the world’s smartphone-producing powerhouse”. The article cited Counterpoint Research’s statistics, the number of “Made in Vietnam” smartphones accounted for nearly 17% of global consumption.
Currently, Vietnam has become Samsung’s largest phone production center, producing 60% of the total number of phones sold by this brand globally.
